Gabrielle Union may be the silent scene-stealer of Nate Parker's record-breaking The Birth of a Nation, but elsewhere at Sundance, she's not mincing words. When asked on the red carpet about professional troll Stacey Dash's recent hypocritical comments regarding her desire to abolish BET and Black History Month, Union put on a master class of shade."Who's Stacey Dash? Is she like related to Dame Dash? Was she on Roc-A-Fella?" she starts, making Queen Mariah proud. She then lays the clapback on thick: "I heard of a crazy lady once, maybe last week. But I don't know what her name is." Lest you think she's pulling an R. Kelly, Union cuts the bit and gets to business, giving Dash a quick history lesson on systemic racism and exclusion, just like the boss she is most weeks on — you guessed it — BET (and IRL, obviously). Take note, Stacey.
