Following the death of Alan Rickman on Monday at 69, J.K. Rowling has paid tribute to the actor who portrayed her beloved Professor Snape in all eight Harry Potter films. She tweeted expressing her "shock" and thoughts to Rickman's family at this time, writing, "We have all lost a great talent."
