Slash Paid Tribute to Lemmy and Scott Weiland by Shredding All Over Their Songs

By

Last year saw the music world lose Scott Weiland and Lemmy Kilmister, and so, to close out the year that took both his bandmate and his idol, Slash paid tribute to the departed the only way he knew how: by shredding all over covers of the duo's songs during his New Year's Eve concert. Performing alongside Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators in Las Vegas, the once-and-future GNR guitarist praised the "amazingly talented, fucking original" pair, then ripped through raucous versions of Velvet Revolver's "Sucker Train Blues" and Motörhead's "Ace of Spades." Watch the latter above and the former below. (Don't forget the joker.)
