Watch Sylvester Stallone’s Touching and Kind of Awkward Golden Globes Acceptance Speech

Sylvester Stallone got the first standing ovation of the night after winning Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture Drama at the Golden Globes. He won for reprising his character Rocky Balboa for Ryan Coogler’s Creed. His speech took an awkward turn when he apparently failed to thank either Coogler or co-star Michael B. Jordan, though it was later revealed that he doubled back during the commercial break and showed them some love. What he didn’t forget to thank during the actual broadcast was his agency, William Morris Endeavor, which got two shout-outs from Sly — even if inadvertently.
