The Academy hasn’t paid much attention to people of color this year, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t performances to celebrate. At the NAACP Image Awards last night, host Anthony Anderson pointed to all the people who haven’t gotten the attention they could have.”Look at all of these beautiful shades of people in the audience,” Anderson said. “Hollywood needs to know that this is what diversity is supposed to look like.” In his monologue, the Black-ish actor took the time to make fun of Stacey Dash, who recently said that the NAACP awards should be abolished, saying, “She’s just an Ann Coulter dipped in butterscotch. That’s all she is. Baby, don’t let them use you! Come back to the black people.” Anderson also poked fun at Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, the sources of that whole Oscars boycott, who just happened to be in the audience. “They better be here after all this ish they started,” Anderson joked.

Chris Rock will host the White BET Awards later in the month.
