Born to Be Blue Trailer: Let Ethan Hawke’s Chet Baker Be Your Funny Valentine

Up to this point in Earth's history, we have somehow missed out on a movie where Ethan Hawke plays a legendary jazz musician, which honestly should have happened five times by now. Born to Be Blue is here to rectify that error. The film, written and directed by Robert Budreau, has all of the necessary elements of the Ethan Hawke musical biopic you may have thought already existed: There's black-and-white footage, a woman (Carmen Ejogo) who believes in our hero, heroin addiction, and, of course, Ethan Hawke flexing those pipes for Baker's famous cover of "My Funny Valentine." The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last year and will arrive in theaters March 25.
