Over the weekend, Louis C.K. sent fans a special surprise when he announced that he was dropping the first episode of a new web series titled Horace and Pete for $5 on his website. While C.K. didn’t give away any details about the series, the hourlong premiere stars C.K. and Steve Buscemi as two guys who run a 100-year-old Brooklyn dive bar together, and they’re joined by an impressive supporting cast including Alan Alda, Jessica Lange, Edie Falco, Aidy Bryant, Nick DiPaolo, Steven Wright, Kurt Metzger, and more. It’s one part Cheers, one part Louie, and one part dramatic off-Broadway play, and like the other work C.K. has released online, it’s well worth the five bucks.
