Josh Gad has a new movie in the works. The Wrap reports that Gad is set to star in a film for Paramount called Heavy Duty, which he also developed alongside writers Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit (1600 Penn, Super Fun Night). The movie will center on “an ordinary guy who believes losing weight will help him live a more extraordinary life. He signs up for a wellness retreat with a group of fellow underachievers, only to face an unexpected test when things go awry.” Gad next stars in the Angry Birds movie as well as Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast, in which he’s signed on to play Gaston’s sidekick LeFou.
