Julian Casablancas has been very vocal in the past about his admiration for Lou Reed, and this delightfully raucous cover of the Velvet Underground’s 1967 single “Run Run Run” (made special for the Vinyl soundtrack) is quite the fitting tribute — it’s gritty and faithful, all with that signature Julian baritone croon. Lou, our leather jacket-clad prince looking down from the heavens, would most certainly be proud.
