Lorde Sang David Bowie’s ‘Life on Mars’ With His Former Band at the Brits

There was no way the Brits would carry on without honoring their Brixton boy David Bowie, and they pulled out all the stops. The Grammys had Lady Gaga; the Brits had Annie Lennox and Gary Oldman paying tribute to the legend (with Oldman sharing a sweet memory of Bowie’s humor about getting his cheekbones back in the wake of his cancer diagnosis), before introducing Lorde and Bowie’s former touring band, reunited for the first time in more than a decade. They performed a medley of Bowie’s hits, with Lorde joining in to sing “Life on Mars.” Grab your tissues.
