HBO’s Togetherness Has Been Canceled After Just Two Seasons

Togetherness, one of what seems like 700 Duplass brothers projects (we’re not complaining, just impressed), will not return to HBO for a third season. The season two finale will now serve as the series finale, airing on April 10. “Although we have decided not to proceed with another season of Togetherness, we look forward to continuing our strong creative collaboration with the talented Jay and Mark Duplass,” HBO said in a statement to Deadline. Don’t worry, HBO, they have 699 other projects going on, one of which is with you guys, called Animals. Remember? Togetherness, a show about marriage, friendship, and not totally wanting to have sex with your husband anymore, was well received by critics and had a devoted following, but couldn’t attract a wide enough audience. Mark Duplass released a statement via Twitter:
