Your primary source for books, things you forgot to buy in a store, and West Coast feminist dramedies has tripled down on its commitment to Transparent’s Jill Soloway. Amazon has ordered a new film written and directed by Soloway titled Ten Aker Wood, which is not about Winnie the Pooh, but is about “a woman in a failing marriage who leaves Los Angeles to live on a pot farm in Northern California,” where she falls in love with a biker. Amazon also recently ordered a pilot from Soloway titled I Love Dick, and the writer and director is at work on Transparent’s third season as well. According to Variety, Ten Aker Wood is “partly autobiographical,” which means that, at some point in the film, a giant tech company will approach the Soloway character and offer to fund all her artistic dreams.
