Casey Wilson’s Comedy Pilot Hail Mary Is Now Blessed With Retta

Retta, who started off as a glorified extra on Parks and Recreation before filling out all the quirks of the beloved Donna Meagle, has booked a co-starring role in her next project. The comedian has joined the Casey Wilson–starring ABC comedy pilot Hail Mary, which is about small-town mayor Mary Wolff (the ahmahzing Wilson), who fakes a miracle to try to get her town back on track. Retta will play Ruthie, Mary's friend, who probably has an incredible singing voice and is very good at live-tweeting things. Retta currently recurs on Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce. Celebrate the news and treat yo'self to a quick Parks and Rec binge.
