Who’s the best Gaston? Luke Evans, the guy who is playing the part in the upcoming live-action Beauty and the Beast? Or Hugh Jackman, who in 1991 was cruelly deprived his chance at the role, thanks to Hollywood’s longstanding bias against non-animated people? Over the weekend, Jonathan Ross put them both to the test by having the duo sing selections from Gaston’s theme song, and, as you might have guessed from seeing how thick their necks are, they both did great. Also in attendance was Taron “Teen Organ Rot” Egerton, who was there to deny being Han Solo but ended up showing off a soaring singing voice of his own. If every Star Wars movie were directed by Baz Luhrmann (and who says they shouldn’t be?) he’d be a shoo-in for sure.
