The Who Made an Epic Return to Late Night Television to Remind You Rock and Roll Will Never Die

The Who have rarely performed on late night television programs since a 1967 episode of the beloved variety series The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. (Perhaps because during that infamous appearance, Keith Moon blew up his drum kit with so many explosives that it resulted in Pete Townshend becoming deaf in one of his ears. Classic Moon!) The Tonight Show, though, managed to wrangle the septuagenarian rockers for a one-song set, where they energetically performed the definitive crowd favorite “Who Are You.” A double guitar windmill salute to you, sirs.
