Between the upcoming Beyoncé album and the imminent Drake album, you were already planning on burrowing into your headphones and blocking out the rest of the world for the next month. Add a new Chance the Rapper mixtape and you’re going to be missing fire alarms, your boss explaining to you why they had to let you go, the first cries of your newborn child, pretty much every other sound to which you could possibly listen. According to Esquire, Chance made the announcement at a concert last Thursday. Chance’s last two mixtapes, 10 Day and Acid Rap, were released in April as well, in 2012 and 2013, respectively. Spike Lee is going to have to slip out of his home at midnight, drive to the middle of nowhere, get in a rowboat, paddle to a secret cavern, sound insulate the entire thing, and listen to Chance as quietly as his Bluetooth speaker will allow. But don’t think he won’t.
