Looks like Star Wars Episode VIII should be officially titled Star Wars: An Extremely Goofy Movie, because between Daisy Ridley and her stunt trainer Liang Yang, we gotta real goof troop on our hands. The Force Awakens star posted a Facebook video of her stunt training for the upcoming octsequel, all of which looks pretty bomb except for the jump, and honestly, they can probably fix that in post. Raved Ridley, “So @liangstunts (TRAITOR) is WUSHU FRICKING MASTER and I always try to get him to teach me things … This was today!!! Obvs not great but HE’S amazing and he’s also featured at the end our stunt team are the most incredible group of people, so lucky I get to train with them!” As long as Rey doesn’t come up against an obstacle that requires her to repeatedly leap in the air, we’re good. Like, for example, if Kylo Ren discovers some sort of malevolent pogo stick. There’s a reason they hire professional screenwriters for this type of thing.
