Kesha, who hasn't performed under her own name publicly since her legal battle with producer Dr. Luke began, took the stage at Coachella last night for a surprise appearance. Clad in an all-black outfit, Kesha joined Zedd to perform "True Colors" during the producer's Saturday night set, an appearance that both artists teased on social media. Kesha is currently attempting to get out of her contract with Luke, whom she has accused of sexually and emotionally abusing her over the course of their time working together. Back in December, Kesha performed with her new band Yeast Infection. Sony, Kesha's label, has asserted that she is free to record music without Dr. Luke's direct involvement under her contract, while her camp insists that the contract itself is "slavery." The singer has previously claimed that she was offered an out on that contract, if she apologized for her rape claims against Dr. Luke. Defiance is, and continues to be, the order of the day.
