Now that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is playing on airplanes and making itself comfortable in the home-video marketplace, it’s time for Disney to start getting everyone frenzied about the next installment from the Star Wars universe. Directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla), Rogue One, which has the very folksy full title Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is Disney’s first attempt at a Star Wars spinoff movie. (The young Han Solo movie will be its second attempt.)
Set shortly before Episode IV, Rogue One stars Felicity Jones as the sort of character who says cool stuff like “This is a rebellion, isn’t it? I rebel,” and is tasked with stealing plans for the Death Star. The film comes out on December 16, 2016; you’d better get ready to explain to your parents what exactly this movie is and how it relates to those movies with Lance Starswalken.
