If you thought MADtv was dead, think again, because today Deadline reports that the CW has revived the former Fox sketch series by ordering eight hourlong episodes that will air as a primetime show. The CW’s version will feature an all-new cast and also “acknowledge its past, featuring special appearances from returning cast members of the original series as hosts of each episode.” The network was also home to the MADtv 20th anniversary special, which aired back in January.
