Much in the same way that Pharrell executive-produced the soundtracks for both Despicable Me and the entire year of 2014 for the planet Earth, Timbaland is currently contemplating taking on the soundtrack for Jamie Foxx’s animated spot Groove Tails. The movie follows a “mouse forced to enter the world of competitive street-dancing to pay an outstanding cheese debt,” which is perhaps the greatest idea for a film of all time. In the role of music EP, Timbaland would produce the film’s score alongside music-marketing agency Jungle Punks, an awesome responsibility due to the fact kids don’t know about the breakneck pop-culture speed of the internet, and, as such, cling to the songs they love for years, much in the same way a tiny CGI mouse clings to his or her last piece of precious, precious cheese.
