Midway through the journey of his life, Tom Hanks has found himself in a dark forest full of Dan Brown movies. Hanks is playing The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons’ Robert Langdon once again — though, thankfully, with a shorter haircut — in Inferno, which moves to Florence for a Dante-themed mystery. Felicity Jones is the latest academic Bond girl, while Ben Foster is a smarmy bio-terrorist. Did Tom Hanks actually steal Dante’s death mask, or was it a look-alike? (We blame Chet Haze.) Directed by Ron Howard, Inferno opens in theaters on October 28.
