Beautiful weasel-hunk Joel Kinnaman has a new gig: Deadline reports that the former Robocop star will take the lead role in Netflix’s upcoming sci-fi series Altered Carbon, playing “a former elite interstellar warrior known as an Envoy who has been imprisoned for 500 years [and then] downloaded into a future he’d tried to stop.” A future he’d tried to stop — can’t you just hear it in Don LaFontaine’s voice? If that sounds more like a movie than a TV show, you should also know that Kinnaman’s one chance at returning to Earth is … solving a murder. Basically, take any outlandish situation you can think of, add a murder, and boom, you’ve got yourself a TV show.
