Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel Reunite to Sing ‘For Good’ From Wicked; It’s Good So Watch It for Your Own Good, We Good?

It’s a juggernaut musical that follows two youthful friends (one is more image-conscious; one is loaded with raw talent) as circumstances bigger than them corrupt their mutual respect and make them enemies, even though neither is the hero and neither is the villain, because the real story is big on ambiguity: Damn, Wicked is cooler than you remember. Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth, the original Elphaba and Glinda with a “guh,” respectively, reunited 13 years after Wicked’s Broadway debut to sing the show’s “For Good,” a feat which they did well. The moment is courtesy of the still-running musical’s #OutofOz series, but do you really care why, or are you already less of a sentient human being with curiosity and more of a sloshing, sopping puddle? Watch and send that friend who you stopped talking to because you just happen to be very different people but that doesn’t mean she’s not rad in her own right a text.
