Crazy Ex-Girlfriend co-creator and star Rachel Bloom stopped by the third annual Vulture Festival last night for a lively conversation with fellow co-creator Aline Brosh McKenna and executive music producer Adam Schlesinger, and the event ended on a high note with Bloom performing “Sexy French Depression” one of the many original songs from the show with style and grace. “I’ve always had a fascination with how much we fetishize someone like Marilyn Monroe, who basically committed suicide, was a depressed person, but she was so beautiful and sad,” Bloom told us about the song last month. “In general, we fetishize women being sad, and it’s something I’ve been fascinated with for a long time.”
