That Time Jennifer Lawrence Trolled a Press Conference With a Morbid Comment About Kim Basinger

Before her Oscar-nominated turn in Winter's Bone, Jennifer Lawrence appeared in a small handful of films and television shows, including Guillermo Arriaga's 2008 drama The Burning Plain. And as J.Law recounts to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show last night, her lack of media training for her (first-ever!) press conference for the film resulted in, as expected, an extremely bad outing. So bad, in fact, that she told the press that Kim Basinger's absence was attributed to her untimely death. Oh, J.Law, you rapscallion you! You're a modern-day Eliza Doolittle, huh?
