Rob Lowe enters the arena. All eyes are on him. “Rob Lowe is handsome, talented, successful, and handsome,” Comedy Central's president Keith Alterman announces. The jeering crowds go silent. They are awaiting a verdict. “He needs to be roasted.” Yes, Lowe, of The West Wing, Parks and Recreation, the dearly departed The Grinder, and all that time in the Brat Pack, will be joining the likes of James Franco and Justin Bieber as the subject of Comedy Central's next roast. The taping and premiere dates of the special have not yet been announced. Rob Lowe's public persona is so spotless, those poor comedians will have almost no material to work with, well, except for that sex tape with a teenager — actually, this could be very awkward.
