Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett Smith were last seen onscreen together in 1996's Set It Off, where they orchestrated a series of bank robberies. Now, they're back together for a movie about a trip to New Orleans for the Essence Festival, where instead of robbery, "sisterhoods are rekindled, wild sides are rediscovered, with some drinking, romancing and even brawling thrown in for good measure" (okay, so there's a chance there'll be robbery). Per Deadline, Latifah and Pinkett Smith are near deals to star in Girl Trip, directed by Malcolm Lee and with a script by Black-ish's Kenya Barris and Tracy Oliver. The three already collaborated on Barbershop: The Next Cut. Regina Hall will also come along on the Girl Trip, which will be the summer of 2017's best reason to sneak wine into a movie theater.
