Very few of the inmates at Litchfield Penitentiary are shy about sex on Orange Is the New Black: Getting it on always requires a little creativity and zero shame. Season four is no exception, particularly for one newlywed Lorna Morello (Yael Stone) and her new husband, Vincent Muccio (John Magaro), who manage to climax in a crowded room during visiting hours. And yes, they both succeed in reaching orgasm without touching one another. “I do think we both come,” Yael Stone tells Vulture at the Museum of the Moving Image’s annual industry tribute. “It was very silly and I did blush a lot in-between takes.”
In the scene, Lorna presents her husband, Vince, with an imaginary tray of freshly baked cookies while sitting among a dozen other inmates and their families. Vince sits up, takes one, and tries it. “Still warm. My favorite,” he says. He tells her that he loves her, and they quickly get lost in the fantasy of being together and start talking dirty. They pretend they’re in their living room having sex with the neighbors watching and loudly describe every move. The talk escalates — with brief pans to others in the room who look either surprised or annoyed by what’s going on — and then ends with two (not fake) orgasms à la Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally.
“I don’t know that it took a lot of takes,” Stone says. “You don’t want to do that too many times.”
