The next animated princess movie is betting on the winning combination of Miranda, Eliza ... and Disney. Phillipa Soo, who earned a Tony nomination for playing Elizabeth Schuyler in Hamilton, has joined the cast of the Polynesian princess movie Moana. The film stars Auli’i Cravalho as Moana and the Rock as a "benevolent demigod" (so, himself?), with Miranda, Opetaia Foaʻi, and Mark Mancina onboard to write the music. Soo will play a villager on Moana's home island. Disney has not confirmed whether that villager has two sisters, and whether that group of sisters like to rap about American history in their spare time.
