Hamilton has been nominated for an astounding 16 Tony Award nominations this year, and in the spirit of awards season, is bestowing a special treat upon theater enthusiasts. The musical will be one of the ten featured performances at this year’s Tonys, where nominees Lin-Manuel Miranda, Phillipa Soo, Leslie Odom Jr., Renée Elise Goldsberry, Christopher Jackson, Daveed Diggs, and the rest of the cast will perform a not-yet-announced number. The news is particularly exciting considering Miranda is reportedly leaving his role as Hamilton next month. Respective casts for nominees in the Best Musical and Best Revival of a Musical categories will also be performing: that’s Shuffle Along, Or the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All; She Loves Me; School of Rock; Fiddler on the Roof; The Color Purple; Waitress; Bright Star; Spring Awakening. There will also be a special performance from Gloria Estefan and the cast On Your Feet!
