Though we have yet to see Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham), and Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) appear together in a scene on Game of Thrones, the three joined up in Greece, where 57,000 Syrian refugees are currently stranded after other European countries tightened their borders to stem the flow of migrants. Entertainment Weekly reports that the actors embarked on this trip with the International Rescue Committee to join their voices in the call for more action from the EU. In one video uploaded to Twitter Cunningham says, “We met some absolutely beautiful families, with happy, happy children who are stuck on their journey to get to other members of their family.” Many of the refugees traveled by sea to get to the Mediterranean nation, where they’ve been funneled into tents on former military camp sites. After visiting several camps, Williams said, “We now feel like it’s our responsibility to take their stories and change the perception of these people.” You can read more about the hardships faced by refugees living in Greece here.
