The Good Neighbor guys are finally getting their own movie. A few days ago, a Redditor noticed a new IMDB page for a film starring Mooney called Brigsby Bear, and a June press release from the Utah Film Commission confirms the project. Written by and starring Mooney, the film centers on Brigsby Bear Adventures, “a children’s TV show produced for an audience of one, James (Mooney). When the show abruptly ends, James realizes that everything about his life is a lie, and he must learn to cope with the realities of a new world that he knows nothing about.” The Lonely Island, Phil Lord, and Chris Miller are all credited as producers on the film, and according to the IMDB page it’s got a pretty killer supporting cast including Andy Samberg, Claire Danes, Mark Hamill, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Michaela Watkins, and of course Beck Bennett. Production begins next week in Salt Lake City, and it’s currently slated for a 2017 release.
