Forget the Halloween costume and get Thanksgiving dinner delivered, because TBS is treating you to two new promising comedies over the fall holidays. Premiering on October 31 (spooky!) is People of Earth, a series about a support group for people who were abducted by laid-back aliens starring Wyatt Cenac (The Daily Show) as a cynical reporter turned true believer. Then, during the week of Thanksgiving (from November 21 through 25), the network will air the entire first season of Search Party with two new episodes every night at 11 p.m. Search Party stars Arrested Development’s Alia Shawkat, and centers around a group of self-absorbed Millennials as they try to solve the mystery of their friend — or, perhaps more accurately, frenemy — that disappears (but it’s comedy, really!). Watch the trailers for both shows below and start making your excuses for why you’ll miss your cousin’s “monster bash” now.
