At the beginning of (and during) every month, Hulu adds new movies and TV shows to its library. We figure you might want to know about them. For more comprehensive coverage of the best titles available on Hulu and elsewhere, check out Vulture’s What to Stream Now hub, which is updated throughout the month.

The heart is a dumb-dumb: You’re the Worst (Season 2)

It may not have seemed possible, but Stephen Falk’s tale of misanthropic Angelinos got even funnier, and a hell of a lot darker, in its second season. The show still features silly Sunday Funday adventures, and some of the best Silverlake humor west of the 110, but in a series of whip-smart episodes (see “There Is Not Currently a Problem” and “LCD Soundsystem”), it also depicts the reality of mental illness with disarming accuracy. Available August 1.

Bodacious: Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989)

Stoners Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter need to get an A+ on their history oral report, or humanity’s future will fall apart. Luckily, George Carlin arrives with a time-traveling phone booth (no to any British Doctor’s booths), and the stoner adventures begin. Available August 1.

What, like it’s hard? Legally Blonde (2001)

Reese Witherspoon, hero, proves that law school isn’t all that hard if you arrive with a well-coordinated outfit. The movie’s 15 years old, but it’s a charming as ever — and hey, Reese can still do the bend and snap. Available August 1.

Faster, higher, stronger: Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation (2015)

The key to any Mission Impossible film lies in whether Tom Cruise can still run like a maniac — and rest assured, he can run, he can swim, and he can even cling on to airplanes. He also has the aid of Rebecca Ferguson, who plays a fellow spy named Ilsa. At one point, Cruise follows her to Casablanca. Do you get it? Available August 12.

Fun with Matthews: The Wine Show (Season 1/U.S. Premiere) (ITV)

It has been a long, hot summer, and sure, we could recommend some grim TV dramas, but all we really want to do in August is take a trip to Italy with Matthews Rhys and Goode. The Wine Show, which aired its first season in the U.K. earlier this year, provides the chance to do just that. (Please consume The Wine Show responsibly, as it contains dangerous levels of charm.) Available August 13.
