Gather 'round, children, and I'll tell you a tale from 2016, that strange year when caped-crusader properties sprouted like dandelions in a field and a hungry entertainment industry continued its slow march toward Peak Superhero. 'Twas in August of that year that Starz announced it was developing a superhero series starring rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, one entitled Tomorrow, Today. It was based on a screenplay Jackson wrote and was about "a veteran from the south side of Chicago who, after being falsely imprisoned, becomes the personal experiment of a mad prison doctor trying to create the perfect man — and an unstoppable killing machine." There was no word on when the show would debut, but lo, the people did wonder what such a thing would look like.
