Catherine Zeta-Jones will play Olivia de Havilland in the first season of Ryan Murphy’s Feud, which focuses on the legendary rivalry between Joan Crawford (Jessica Lange) and Bette Davis (Susan Sarandon) on the set of Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? Murphy announced the news himself on his delightfully taciturn Twitter account. De Havilland was a close friend of Davis’s, and she starred across from Crawford in 1964’s Hush … Hush, Sweet Charlotte in a role that was originally meant for Davis. In addition to her odd friendship with Jared Leto, de Havilland is famous for her feud with her sister Joan Fontaine. So, can we stage a Chicago reunion and bring on Renée Zellweger for season two?
