As has become a tradition, Game of Thrones has added yet another highly regarded British actor to the Seven Kingdoms: Entertainment Weekly reports that Jim Broadbent has joined the upcoming seventh series of Thrones in an unknown role. EW's source says only that Broadbent's role is "significant." Of the leaked roles being cast for the upcoming season, Broadbent would seem to fit the part being called Priest, a man in his 60s "with moral authority and gravitas" as well as a British accent and a "characterful face" — though since no one knows what's going to happen in season seven, it's hard to be too sure about anything. What is clear, though, is that Broadbent is about to complete the Grand Tour of British Character Actors. He's already got Bridget Jones and Harry Potter, and now GOT — somebody get him in Best Exotic Marigold Hotel! (Be honest, you thought he already was in that.)
