In honor of James Corden’s 38th birthday yesterday, the producers of The Late Late Show surprised him with a reel of his family and some of his favorite people wishing him a happy birthday. Last on the reel was Montell Jordan, singer of Corden’s favorite song, the ’90s jam “This is How We Do It.” Jordan, though, one-upped everyone else on the reel by then appearing in person to join Corden onstage for another rendition of his classic hit. This is how you do a musical birthday gift, indeed.
