Natalie Portman wrote, directed, and starred in the new feature film A Tale of Love and Darkness, an adaptation of Amos Oz's autobiographical novel of the same name. She didn't do it without overcoming a few challenges of being a female director in Hollywood. The Israeli-born actress plays a mother in Jerusalem who shapes her son in his early life before becoming a writer.
