Last Chance U.
Netflix has given another season to the documentary series Last Chance U, proving once again that streaming services are infinitely more compassionate than America’s sporting-industrial complex. The series follows the football team at East Mississippi Community College, where players hoping to rebound from past offenses compete in the the hopes of graduating to major college programs, and eventually, the NFL. The first season saw the team trying to defend its run of national titles, a streak of success unmatched by the show itself, which has yet to win a single playoff game.
