What’s on the Olympics Schedule Today: Wednesday, August 17

Navigating all the Olympics coverage can get confusing. There's a full schedule of events to keep track of, not to mention knowing which channels will be covering what. To help guide you through, we'll be posting each day's major competitions, including medal events, qualifying and semifinal rounds, and any matches that feature U.S. teams, so all you have to do is sit back and be dazzled by the world's greatest athletes.

Major Events

1. Track and Field: Olympic champion and world-record-holder Ashton Eaton seeks to defend his gold in the men’s decathlon, 8:30 a.m. Watch: Livestream or on NBCSN.

2. Wrestling: Japanese wrestler Kaori Icho takes the mat to try to become the first woman to win an individual-event gold medal in four consecutive Olympics, 3 p.m. Watch: Livestream at 3 p.m. or on NBCSN at 7:30 p.m.

3. Track and Field: Female Olympians compete for the gold in the women’s long jump and 200m and 100m hurdles. Watch: Livestream at 7:20 p.m. or on NBC at 8 p.m.
