In case anyone was having trouble remembering that scripted cable television isn’t real, last night on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Rami Malek revealed that unlike his hacker character Elliot Alderson on Mr. Robot, he’s not too tech savvy. He even had to learn how to type for the role so that it didn’t look like he was playing the piano. One thing he does have in common with his Mr. Robot character, though, is an antipathy for social media. Rami Malek will never get into throwing up a good #TBT on Instagram, and it’s probably for the best.
