Break out your old Desperate Housewives DVDs in solitude — ABC has announced that its mystery-drama Mistresses has been canceled following a respectable four-season (!) run. The frothy summer soap’s fourth season finale, which aired last Tuesday, will now double as its series finale. The show was based on the original U.K. series of the same name and featured an ensemble cast that included Alyssa Milano, Yunjin Kim, and Rochelle Aytes participating in … occasional salacious activities. Now that Mistresses has taken its final bow, it’s maybe time to dust off the original pilot, Manstresses.
