Always Sunny Is Planning a Full Musical Episode; Let’s Speculate About All the Ways the Gang Can Pull This Off

FXX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is already booked for three more seasons, and Charlie Day recently offered Red Carpet Roxy a couple of teasers from the upcoming 2017 season. Day said: “It’s a funny year. You can expect to see some of the UFC, you can expect to see an entire musical episode, guest starring from Scott Bakula, you can expect to see us at a water park, you can expect a very funny season.”

“The Nightman Cometh” was undoubtedly a masterpiece, so how will they manage to top it? Why peacefully bask in the good news when we can come up with some ideas of our own?

“The Gang Finds Frank a New Toe Knife: The Musical”

Concept: After Charlie accidentally breaks Frank’s toe knife, the gang travels to the ends of the Earth (various locations in Philly) to find the perfect toe knife that will fit Frank’s foot and clip that one tough hangnail. It is a majestic, disgusting journey.

“Cricket, King of the Crickets: The Musical”

Concept: After being bullied by the gang for the last time, Cricket warns them that he will set a plague of crickets on their bar. No one believes him, until one day the bar is swarming with insects, and they must find Cricket to apologize. Only it turns out that Cricket was high the whole time and the bar just had an infestation they forgot about.

“Charlie and the Waitress Get Married: The Musical”

Concept: Never mind. This could never happen.

No matter which direction the gang chooses to take the musical episode, we are sure that it will be horrifyingly brilliant. You can watch “The Nightman Cometh” below, in case there are auditions for the show in a town near you.
