You know what the sport of golf has been missing more than anything? Irreverence. Legendary comedian and storied golfer Bill Murray knows this, and has made it his personal mission to fill the irreverence void in golf with his irreverent new line of golf apparel, according to Vanity Fair. It’s called William Murray Golf, and the first few items in the line were released today in conjunction with his 66th birthday. There’s a limited-edition pin-striped polo shirt called the “This is the Year” shirt, which in name and in design pays tribute to the Chicago Cubs, an organization that’s coming up on a century without a World Series title. Bummer! But you can un-bum yourself with the William Murray hat, a fitted cap with an embroidered silhouette of the Caddyshack star (and former caddy) tossing his club aside. The rest of the clothing line will roll out on October 20, and will include button-ups, shorts, and T-shirts, in addition to more polos and hats. Swaddle yourself in irreverence.
