Actor William G. Nunn III, best known as the iconic Radio Raheem in Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing, has died at the age of 62. In a loving Instagram post, Lee praised his fellow Morehouse grad, who he says passed away this morning in his hometown of Pittsburgh. In addition to co-starring in Lee’s other films School Daze, Mo’ Better Blues, and He Got Game, Nunn appeared in a variety of television shows and films over the last several decades, including New Jack City, Kiss the Girls, Regarding Henry, Sister Act, Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, and, most recently, the USA paramedic comedy Sirens.
