Comedy Central’s Roast of Rob Lowe this weekend featured a guest list that included comics like Jeff Ross, Nikki Glaser, and David Spade, but the roaster the world will remember is singer-songwriter Jewel. Jewel tore through her fellow roasters with withering one-liners and a laid-back ease, but the person who took every punch to the teeth was conservative pundit Ann Coulter. Jewel opened her set with a direct hit on Coulter: “As a feminist, I can’t support everything that’s being said tonight, but as somebody who hates Ann Coulter, I’m delighted.” Jewel finished off her set by giving her rationale behind why she didn’t want to kiss Rob Lowe when they once filmed a scene together sung to the tune of her hit single, “You Were Meant for Me.” Jewel.
