Sarah Paulson to Marcia Clark in Her Emmys Acceptance Speech: ‘I’m Sorry’

What a mensch, that Sarah Paulson. Paulson won her first (!!) Emmy ever for her finely tuned, vividly rendered portrait of Los Angeles County prosecutor Marcia Clark. She brought Clark as her date to the Emmys, fended her off from Jimmy Kimmel’s vicious ad hominem attacks, and, maybe most important, apologized to her for rushing to judgment during the trial itself. “The responsibility of playing a real person is an enormous one. You want to get it right not for you but for them,” Paulson said, as Clark watched on. “I, along with the rest of the world, had been superficial in my judgment, and I’m glad that I’m able to stand here in front of everyone today and say, I’m sorry.” We think she accepts your apology, Sarah.
