Taylor Swift Donates $50,000 to Lousiana Public Schools for Flood Recovery

A month after historic flooding ravaged the state of Louisiana, Taylor Swift is continuing to give back and assist the flood victims with her astounding $1 million pledge. Swift has now donated $50,000 to Louisiana's Ascension Public Schools for flood relief 5 of the district's 27 schools were forced to remain closed due to the flooding, displacing about 5,000 students which follows her previous $50,000 donation to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank and Salvation Army. "The fact that so many people in Louisiana have been forced out of their own homes this week is heartbreaking," she told the AP last month. "I encourage those who can to help out and send your love and prayers their way during this devastating time.
